This identifies one elector out of everybody who shares the name, then builds the household, the family tree, the neighbouring houses and the polling station around them, and shows its working for every step.

Not sure which person you mean, or want to see how common the name is first? Search the roll instead: how many electors carry a name, which states and districts they are in, how they split by age, and whose name is recorded beside theirs. No email needed.

Looking at an area rather than a person? Explore the roll by place: any district, constituency or polling booth, with its size, its age and sex profile, how its booths compare, the surnames that run through it, and the electors themselves.

How this works Every entry on an electoral roll names exactly one relative and one relationship. On its own that is a string; put side by side with everyone registered at the same house, and with the houses either side, those single links interlock into a family. The engine measures how common the name is before it weighs any evidence, scores every elector it finds against the details you give, and shows the arithmetic for the one it picks.

This is not an identity document, an address proof, or a certificate of any kind. It is a probabilistic reading of published electoral rolls.
Roll pages are scanned and machine-read, so names, ages and addresses carry transcription error. Treat a match as evidence, not proof.
The index holds part of the national roll and is still growing. Not finding somebody is not evidence that they are not enrolled.
Electoral rolls are published by the Election Commission of India and the state Chief Electoral Officers. Corrections to the roll itself must be made through them; write to contact@indiancitizen.app about anything wrong on this page.
